10 of the best kept secrets for being productive!

Productivity can be a tricky thing. Nothing works for everyone. In this post, I am giving you 18 different tips to help you boost your productivity. Feel free to play around with these and figure out what works for you. Everyone has different things that make them productive.

Tip 1:

Time yourself. Next time that you need to write a blog post or make a video, put on a timer. Try to finish what you have to do in 25 minutes.

Tip 2:

Batch process. Batch processing is an amazing technique. In just a few hours, you can complete tons of content! Batch process and stick those blog post or videos etc. in a folder. Next time you don’t have time to blog, you’ll have this content waiting for you to post.

Tip 3:

Focus. Having good focus is the key to being successful. Pick one thing that you’re going to do, and focus only on that one thing. If you have to write and you can tend to get distracted, go into a room all by yourself, turn on distraction free mode in WordPress, and focus!

Tip 4:

Set goals. Setting goals is really important. If you don’t, you won’t know what you’re working towards. Setting goals will allow you to gain focus, and allow you to actually grow, because you know what you’re working towards.

Tip 5:

Write lists. Writing lists will help you know where you’re going, and know how to reach what you want to do.

Tip 6:

Break it down. In order for you to reach your goals successfully, you have to break down your goal into reachable steps. Think about how much time you have each day and break your goals down into tasks that would take you a reasonable amount of time. If you only have 30 minutes each day to work on your business, then you’re going to want to break down your tasks into 10 to 30-minute tasks.  Most goals only have about 10 to 20 tasks that you need to work on, which means you’ll be able to achieve your goal in only 10 to 20 days.

Tip 7:

Use the Pomodoro technique. Pomodoro is a technique that comprises of working for 20 to 30 minutes and then taking a 3 to 4-minute break. This allows you to work steadily without feeling guilty for taking breaks and resting your brain. Because it’s only a 3 to 4-minute break, it won’t take away much work time. At first, I resisted to this technique because it felt like it was a waste time. If you don’t take breaks frequently, you’re not going to be as productive.  You can buy apps on the app store that’ll help you with the Pomodoro technique.

Tip 8:

Do what works. If you’re trying to focus on things that don’t help your blog, business, or life, you’re wasting time. Focus on what actually works.

Tip 9:

Section out your time. Use a percentage of your time to do each thing you have to complete. The way I break down my time is I spend 50% of my time creating content. Then, I spend 30% of my time promoting my blog, products, etc. I also spend 20% of my time in education. Right now, I’m learning how to code. Education time is really important, because it will help you get inspired and grow.

Tip 10:

Take breaks. Taking breaks is really important. If you take a short 15 minute nap within your workday, you’re going to be able to recharge your brain. You’re also going to create better content, do better work, and feel inspired. Even though taking breaks may seem like the opposite of productivity, if you take 5 to 10 minute breaks or have a little snack, you’ll work better.
Feel free to pick and choose the different techniques. Not everything will work for you. Do what does work, and stick with it!
The secret to productivity is prioritizing! Learn more of the awesome ways to be more productive!!!
