Have you ever heard that song, Head’s Carolina, Tails California? My hubby & I took this song and made a really fun game out of it for date night!
Here’s the thing.
I love going on dates with my hubby, but my hubby hates planning what we do! So I LOVE it when I can find something fun and unique that is more than just dinner and a movie!
Our favorite thing to do is to talk, and we usually have the *best* conversations when we drive. So we took the song above and made a game out of it!
The song talks about flipping a coin to decide where to drive, “Heads Carolina, Tails California”. So here’s how you play!
How to Play:
- Grab a coin
- Set a specific time for how long the date will be {we had a babysitter for 1 hour}
- Flip your coin every 3 minutes {we set a timer on our phone}
- I recommend you make it a goal to drive somewhere: for example our goal was to make it to an ice cream shop. We kept driving according to the instructions and it was so fun to see how long it took us to make it to ice cream. Then once we made it, we had a yummy treat while we continued driving.
Instructions:
- Flip the coin every 3 minutes
- Heads: North
- Tails: South
- Every time you stop at a red light you have to turn right
- Anytime you get stuck and can’t go any further you have to turn around and take your first left
Things to do while in the car with your hubby
- play the game of 20 questions
- Talk about “LIFE”. Things like:
- What made you the happiest this last week?
- What are you most looking forward to this coming week
- What would you do if the other died
- What are your children struggling with the most? How can you and hubby together help your child?
- What are some goals you have & how do you plan on achieving those goals?
- Listen to fun music {make sure to listen to these songs!}
