When I moved into my new house I battled how to decorate my family room wall. A DIY Family Photo Frame is what I came up with, and I love it!
The frame happened to be sitting in storage; which made this DIY project cheap and easy! Here is how I put the DIY Family photo frame together:
- Find the right size and style frame you are looking for
- Spray Paint or regular
- Wood Staple gun (I tried glue and tape and found that it wasn’t strong enough for the weight of the pictures)
- Ribbon/String
- Mini Clothes Pins (cheapest place to buy these are at Hobby Lobby. Make sure to use a coupon)
- Printed family pictures (cheapest place to buy these is through Shutterfly)
Directions:
- Take out the existing picture and glass
- Spray paint frame your desired color
- Measure the string to the width of the frame (I would pull the string as tight as you can. The weight of the pictures will give it the slopping look)
- Staple the string to the back of the frame
- Arrange your pictures
- Hang the pictures on the string with the clothes pins
- Hang frame on wall
- Step back and enjoy!!
One of my favorite things to do is to sit on the couch and stare at all of the fun family photos! I have pictures of the first moment I held my two babies, I have pictures of my parents, and of course, my family!!
