Calorie Counting is making you fat

Calorie Counting is making you Fat

Calories in vs Calories out; this isn’t a new concept. You probably believe it is the best way to lose weight, I once did. But I have since learned more about the body; how it functions, and why it’s broken. Our bodies are not meant to count calories. In fact, your ‘calorie counting’ is actually making you fat.

Let me share why this is.

Calorie Counting is making you fat

Let me start by explaining your body has this beautiful built-in processor. It regulates everything that is put into the body. It decides what to do with anything you eat and drink.

That process is called your metabolism.

I like to think of your metabolism as a fire. The fire can be a little spark or it can be this raging bonfire. Fires can be ignited & they can diminish. Fires can even be put out all together.

But the best news, is that your fire can be restarted.

I want you to think of “calorie counting” as if you are pouring water on your fire.

Here is what happens.

counting calories breaks your metabolism. It makes your body think it's starving

Calorie counting breaks your metabolism, or rather manipulates it to slow down because it makes your body think it’s starving.

When you restrict your caloric intake your body naturally does this thing where it thinks “wait, is that all I get? I don’t know when I’m going to get more food, so I better store this energy for when we really need it.

When you don’t eat enough your body puts a very high priority on storing the food it does get into fat for emergency only situations.

It’s actually a very beautifully built-in survival process. But when it comes to your beautiful waist line, that automatic storing process works against you.

This is why Calorie Counting is one of the worst ways to lose weight permanently.

Here is what you do next.

It’s important that you learn how to lose weight the correct way. If not your body could even be turning all those salads into fat.

Calories aren’t meant to be counted, they are just a measurement for scientists that tells at what temperature the food burns. One oreo is 70 calories, but one apple is about 110. Even a kid could tell you that apples are healthier than oreos. Obviously “counting calories” is not an accurate way to lose weight.

Eating healthy on the other hand, is the best way to lose weight.

Now you can say so long to calorie counting!
